Sponsorship money
Our support is needed for the reconstruction in Syria. We therefore ask you to collect at least 184 euros for the projects that we support with Walk of Homs. The sponsor amount is based on the fact that there was only one Frans van der Lugt, who would turn 84 in 2022. We understand that it can be difficult to raise money, but we are happy to help you with some extra inspiration. View our sponsor tips here.
Track your performance
It is possible to keep track of your walked kilometers on your action page. You can do this by manually adding the kilometers to your action page after each walk. Or by linking your Strava account when you are logged in. Then your kilometers will automatically be added to your action page after each walk.
Cost
The registration fee is 30 euros. This amount includes lunch, snacks and use of the toilet at the rest areas. If you register before March 1, you will receive a memento of this walking tour and your efforts at the start on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.
Supporters Obrechtkerk, Amsterdam
There is room for extra visitors in the Obrechtkerk (church) in Amsterdam, so ask your family, friends and supporters to be present at the prayer celebration at 9:00 am on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. After that, they can say goodbye to you when you leave on your pilgrimage. Your supporters must reserve a place in the church for this. They can do this on the page "Commemorate together and reflect on".
Transport
We do not provide transport to the Obrechtkerk (church) in Amsterdam. The Obrechtkerk (church) in Amsterdam is easy to reach by public transport.
Consult 9292 or Google Maps to plan your route.
We provide transport from the end point in De Hoef, because there is only a local bus for 7 people returns to the bus station of Uithoorn or the station in Breukelen. How we will organize this depends on the number of participants who participate in the first stage. In any case, keep in mind that you will be dropped off at a central location, such as Schiphol or Amsterdam South, so that you can continue home on your own from there.
