What happens if more money is raised?
If more money is raised than we need, it will initially be spent on rebuilding the vineyard and olive grove of Al Ard, my uncle's center. The € 250,000 that we are now asking is intended to be able to receive young people with or without disabilities again, so that they can bring the country back to life together with us and enjoy meditation, prayer and beautiful walks and conversations with each other. What is most needed in the short term. We will then realize the reconstruction of the wine factory to ensure that the center can operate self-sufficiently again, together with the yields from the olive grove and agricultural products.
Then, in consultation with the Jesuits, JRS and ZOA and the people in Syria, we will see which projects we can support more. We will of course inform all donors about the progress of the projects.
How are the costs calculated for?
The costs for the walks of 'Walk for Homs' are passed on to the participants. The costs for the organization such as the costs fot the website, the transactions and the bank costs are settled with the donations with a maximum of 15%. Anne Claire van der Lugt does not receive any compensation, she does this initiative voluntarily.
