I would like to thank everyone who contributed to making Walk for Homs possible. When I got the idea to organize the pilgrimage Walk for Homs in memory of Frans van der Lugt and for the reconstruction of his projects and Syria, I had not thought about how much Frans has meant and still means to many people. All the responses, the openness, the commitment and the enthusiasm with which everyone has worked to make Walk for Homs possible have been overwhelming. I will cherish the beautiful stories and anecdotes that surfaced about Frans forever. All of this has helped me get to know Frans and the person he was better. Because of him and the people around him I have been able to broaden my vision of the world. There is no greater source of inspiration for me and possibly many other people. Thank you French!
